8 Timepiece

An intricately designed Swiss watch is a masterpiece of detail. Each piece is finely crafted with an almost unimaginable care. The watchmaker handles each piece with gentle and knowing hands as he perfectly places and calibrates each tiny detail. Some pieces are large and obvious. They might turn or click or simply support. Others though, might be tucked away inside the mechanism, hidden from recognition, but nevertheless vitally important. Each part, so carefully placed is right where it is needed, and was put there on purpose. At times, the created world seems a bit like this watch. Something put together by the master creator to reveal his character. Each piece he places has a role, whether it realizes it or not. We have opportunity to recognize our creators masterful character and live in it or to ignore it. To ignore the perfection of the timepiece, is to focus on the self important role we were created for. This in itself is pointless and leads to misery. It is the perfection of the creator's design and the desire to live in it that gives us the satisfaction and value we so earnestly seek.
