2 Corinthians 2:11
If I were satan and I needed to figure out what to do with a Christian nation that God has immensely blessed, then I might do my best to convince Christians to spend their money on the wrong things. I would whisper in their ear that what God wants is fancy buildings, ornate landscaping, all the best of performance equipment like sound systems, lights, and supplies. If I were the enemy of God and I noticed these blessed people still had money to spend, then I would next convince them to hire the most talented and entertaining ministers that money can buy. I would convince God's people that, because they are so good at it, it is the minister's job to build God's kingdom and not their own. I would even scratch the itch of pride in these ministers and help them to believe it is their job to save the lost instead of equip Christians to do so. I would implant wrong goals, and a false sense of security so they begin to trust in their own money, education, and whit instead of the Holy Spirit. Now being bogged down by pastoral salaries and earthly places of worship I will then convince them that on a good budgetary year they should support their youth to go on a mission trip to somewhere impoverished. That way they will appreciate their abundance more readily and hold on to it ever tighter. After all of these things. I would give them complaining spirits and plant wicked ideas in their hearts so they can now blame the moral decay of their nation on the government instead of their own idolatry. Upon completion of these things I will have nullified the blessing God gave and effectively made these servants my own.
