80 Pack Like a Child

I took each of my kids camping this summer one on one. I asked them to pack what they thought they would need and I would plan the rest. My five year old packed what a five year old would pack. The seven and nine year old each did respectively. Each brought a bit more or less than each other, but each lacked with a great margin, the capacity to plan every contingency. Regardless each had a trust in their father to supply and care about the unforseen or unknown variables. This is how we are with God, but unfortunately some find themselves crippled with fear, distrust, or unbelief from the start when we see what goes on in the world. Some start, believing they've prepared well but a twist happens in the road which leaves them alone or unprepared. Then there are others, that have listened to their father, know He is good, prepare the best the can with the minds, talents, and resources, and set forth knowing there will be things they haven't thought of and looking forward to it knowing it will, in the end, be a grand adventure.
