63 What Jesus Did

Jesus gave up his identity to become a human. His identity is creator. He gave up being all, to become human, the created. Our identities are often tied up in our jobs, skills, or possessions. There are stories of people, upon loss of reputation, wealth, or jobs, that choose to end their lives rather than take a more humble role. God gave up his identity as creator, to join the created. He did this knowing how He would be recieved from the created, and it wouldn't be pleasant. He did this out of love, out of pursuit of the few sheep He could save. For the few sheep that would choose Him, He paid the price for all of them. He paid this price knowing that most would still reject His gift. This is love.
