I do not pretend to know hearts. God is the only one who can judge a heart, but when it comes to salvation it seems as though saying a prayer might not be all that is required of us. The parable of the talents is clear about what we are to do with what we have been given, but what we often forget is this. The last servant did not just have what he was given taken away. He was cast out of the household, where there was darkness and weeping. What I do know is that God is wonderfully gracious and kind. I hope that God is merciful to those who throw a prayer up to heaven, and then continue to love the world.
