Change is inevitable in our walk with God. If we are afraid of it or avoid it at all costs, then it is us that miss out on the good things God has in store. Israel's cry's for help were heard. Their bondage in Egypt was remedied by God and they were freed. It wasn't long before they were looking back at the little security they had in their slavery with regret. God was leading them to a new place, but the road there was a difficult one. It was marked with unsurety and danger and required faith in the God who was leading them there. It is easy to take one look at a difficult road like this and say I'm content in my slavery. Our fear of change, our fear of letting control of our lives go, is a dangerous decision. At best we miss out on the big things that God has for us to do building his kingdom. At worst we miss out on gaining entry into His promised land that He is preparing for us.
