Someone said I was full of good ideas. Let's just say I have a few today. Let's restructure things in the church. How about we create a system of teaching that puts one person in the role of preacher. That way it makes it possible for individual believers to not have to dig into God's word themselves. In this it will be easier to be a Christian and as a result build up the body of Christ.
Next let's train our children to squeeze in spiritual growth activities around their sports, hobbies, and school. It's ok if that stuff interferes with discipleship because after all God can only use sports scholarships to give our children worldly success. When kids are a part of spiritual activities their enthusiasm and noise can sometimes be annoying so we ought to have them in a separate room. If we do not contain them in this way we risk becoming enthusiastic and faith filled ourselves and that would be uncomfortable. When we do take time to teach our kids new things about God and life we ought to be careful to do it a certain way. Parents who are the least experienced should be the only ones to teach the kids. Experienced parents and grandparents who have learned countless lessons through long life should not be allowed to interact with young parents or children. This simply does not make sense because these people have put in their time and retired from spiritual things. It is now their time to enjoy life even though time is something they have in abundance.
It would be good if we could encourage members of the church to work very hard and earn as much money as possible. That way when they choose to tithe a tiny fraction of what they earn the pastors don't have to worry about whether there will be enough for them to be paid. This is critical because if we put ourselves in a situation where our college degrees don't earn us enough then we will be forced to have faith in a God we cannot see.
Let's strive to make our solemn assemblies precisely formatted and repetitious. This will help us all to remember that God is always predictable and He will never do anything without first consulting us. When it comes to our solemn assemblies we ought to take careful surveys about what worship styles are sought by the members of the body. This way leaders can carefully please people instead of God. This also serves to teach people to come before God seeking to serve themselves instead of appreciate other members of the body.
When God does put a need on the heart of someone in the body they ought to take it straight to the pastor so that he can do something about it. After all that is what we pay him for.
These are just a few ideas on how to streamline the thing that we call the body of Christ and to make it more business like in every way. If we can implement as many things like this as possible then the last little bit of fruit that is being produced will be stamped out, and we will have invented religion.
